NDA Application Process 2019

NDA Registration – Part I

The source describes Part I registration as a four-page process.

Page 1: Candidate Details

  • Name as recorded on the Matriculation/Secondary certificate; do not use prefixes such as Mr. or Ms.
  • Gender.
  • Date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, matching the Matriculation certificate.
  • Father's and mother's names without prefixes.
  • Nationality.
  • Marital status. The 2019 source states only unmarried male candidates were eligible; this is historical information.
  • Community/category: SC, ST, OBC or General.
  • Fee remission details, if applicable.
  • Educational qualification: passed Class 12/HSC or appearing.
  • Address, email ID and contact number.

Page 2: Choosing Branch Preference

  • Select preferences for Indian Army, Air Force and Navy.
  • Rank preferences using numbers from 1 to 4, as described in the source.
  • Mark 0 for a branch for which no preference is desired.
  • Enter Sainik/Military School or service-personnel details, if applicable.
  • Click Continue.

Page 3: Verify Details

Verify the entered information and select I Agree or I Do Not Agree. The source advises candidates to check carefully before final submission.

Page 4: Registration ID Generation

  • View the registration ID and candidate details.
  • Registration details are sent to the registered email ID.
  • Print the pay-in slip if paying offline.
  • Print the application using the Print Application Part-I option.
  • Proceed to Part II for fee payment, centre selection and document upload.

NDA Registration – Part II

  • Fee payment.
  • Selection of examination centre.
  • Uploading photograph and signature.

Fee Payment

The historical fee was INR 100 for General/OBC candidates. SC/ST and Sons of JCOs, NCOs and ORs were described as exempted in the source.

Payment methods described included SBI cash deposit using a system-generated pay-in slip, net banking, and Visa/Mastercard/RuPay credit or debit cards.

Selection of Examination Centre

Candidates selected an examination city from the centres prescribed by UPSC. The source advised early application because centre allotment was described as first-apply-first-allot.

Uploading Photograph & Signature

The archived instructions specify JPG format. Photograph size: 3 KB to 40 KB. Signature size: at least 1 KB.

Agree to the declaration and submit the form. A registration ID is generated. The submitted application can be viewed or printed using the View/Print option.
